Brendan Li

Founder of ILLUME
Brendan Li is a sophomore at Oxford Academy with an immense interest and love for music. He is an international pianist that has won multiple first prizes in global competitions, allowing him the opportunity to perform in the world-renowned Carnegie Hall. Through these competitions, he has also been invited to play in other countries as well, including Barcelona, Spain and Salzburg, Austria. He also plays the clarinet for the highest ensemble of his high school band. After Brendan discovered his love for music, he has used his passion in ways that contribute to the society that we live in today. He is a volunteer for the biggest cancer organization in the U.S., American Cancer Society, in which he spreads his positivity and love with cancer patients, whether it be through playing the piano and the clarinet, or singing. Brendan believes that music is truly a universal language that teaches us to be dreamers, leaders, and that we can face any obstacles that life may hold. It serves as a reminder that we can conquer any tune that life plays.
